The Gift of Spice Cooking Series with Holly Sutter & Plowshares — Part 1: Garnish Me!
In this class, Holly will explore three spice blends with extraordinary health benefits used as garnishes: Taklia, Gomashio, and Gremolata. Taklia, a Lebanese garnish made from fresh ground roasted garlic, coriander, and sea salt. Gomashio, made from toasted sesame seeds and sea salt. Gremolata, a Mediterranean garnish from chopped parsley, lemon zest, and garlic. In this class you can expect to learn how to prepare each garnish, their individual medicinal benefits, and when to use them in daily cooking. Recipe sheets will be provided.
This is a class from the 5-part series, The Gift of Spice, created by Functional Medicine Health Coach Holly Sutter, and hosted by Plowshares. This series is designed to educate and open our eyes to the range of everyday medicines in our kitchens. Spices contain powerful micronutrients called polyphenols. Polyphenols help us combat harmful free radicals, decreasing oxidative stress and inflammation. In this series, we will harness a range of spices available in our everyday lives to uplift, warm, and accentuate health.
Tickets are $50. Get 20% off when you register for all five classes with code: SeriesTickets — Register here!
